Battle of the Food Trucks 2022
Battle of the Food Trucks is back and will feature the best of Kaua‘i food trucks on Kaua‘i battling it out for the title of Best Food Truck on Kaua‘i.
A downpour of rain happened right before the onset of the event on what originally started out as a sunny day on September 11th, 2022. This did not deter event volunteers and attendees who felt the “blessing” was a most appropriate way to kick-off this in-person event after an absence of 2 years. The event brought together food trucks from all over Kaua‘i for a one-day event where they had to utilize (2) Kaua‘i Made/Kaua‘i Grown ingredients in their one-bite offering to showcase their culinary talent.
Interspersed among the food trucks were vendors featuring Kaua‘i Made products as well as local Kaua‘i Grown produce. Emphasis focused on supporting local small businesses and our local farmers.
Local musicians provided live entertainment for attendees to enjoy while they tasted so many ono samples of our participating food trucks. There was also games and activities to play if anyone needed a rest in between food sampling.
Attendees walked away “full," their bellies content and expressed excitement and anticipation for the 2023 event.
