The Reef Friendly Landscaping program is supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau.  It meets key Maui Destination Management Action Plan goals including actions:
● Action B: Initiate, fund and continue programs to protect the health of ocean, fresh water, land-based ecosystems, and biosecurity.

● Action B.4: Encourage and if needed provide incentives to visitor industry partners for recycling, wastewater reuse, organic land care, and renewable energy installation. Recognize those partners who have exceeded expectations.
