Pupu O Niʻihau, Jewels of the Pacific on Exhibit at Kauaʻi Museum
“Pupu O Niʻihau, Jewels of the Pacific” is the third and final exhibit in a year-long series of cultural programs presented by the Kauaʻi Musuem.
The public is invited to view and take in the beauty of these highly-prized and delicate shell lei and learn about this valued tradition of our Niʻihau ʻohana. The Exhibit, happening now through December 28, 2022, will feature an extensive collection of these treasured pieces, previously featured at the Bishop Museum and never before been seen on Kauaʻi.
Along with the Niʻihau Shell collection, ʻohana from Niʻihau will share the art of Niʻihau lei-making, music and stories of a culture so unique to Niʻihau.
