STAH - Mālama I Ke Kai Informational Webinar Held

An informational webinar was held June 16, 2022 that focused on actions to support a thriving ocean.

Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA) and Kauaʻi Visitors Bureau (KVB), in partnership with Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawaiʻi (STAH), hosted a free virtual webinar bringing together subject matter experts from the National Oceanic & Atmosphere Administration (NOAA), the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) and Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR), Surfrider Foundation – Kauaʻi Chapter and Holo Holo Charters.

Topics covered included but not limited to were on conservation, protection of marine wildlife, protecting the ocean environment, and protecting delicate ecosystems.  Best and pono practices were shared on how it is our kuleana, marine-based Activity operators, residents, visitors, to Mālama I Ke Kai.
